Meet Gidget 💕🐾

Gidget is a very special and unique three-year-old fluffy French Bulldog looking for her unicorn family.

Gidget is incredibly sweet, loving and affectionate and absolutely adores being around her people. She loves being part of the family and thrives on having company, so a home where someone is around most of the time would suit her beautifully.

She loves playing with her doggy friends and would ideally live in a dog-friendly home with another small dog. She isn’t particularly toy motivated she’d much rather spend her time playing with her canine mates, following her people around or enjoying some cuddles.

Gidget loves sitting outside in the sunshine, especially in the mornings, and she also loves nothing more than curling up on the lounge with you. She doesn’t tend to jump on furniture but is very happy to snuggle when invited. She has a lovely gentle nature and is not rough with children.

She is fantastic on lead, doesn’t pull and naturally stays close to her person. She is also brilliant in the car and very well behaved when travelling. Gidget has excellent recall to her name and is very food motivated she even apparently knows what “are you hungry?” means! 😂

Like all dogs, Gidget has a few quirks her new family will need to understand. She can become reactive towards other dogs when she gets overly excited or when food is involved, so these situations will need to be managed appropriately. Outside of these moments, she genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs and loves having friends.

Gidget’s toilet training is still a work in progress, although her foster carer has made fantastic progress with her. She does best with supervision, routine and consistency. Her new family will need to be patient and committed to continuing her training.

Due to her toilet training, her new home must have minimal carpet, with floating floors or tiles preferred. Any carpeted areas will need to be able to be restricted while she settles and continues her training. A home with no carpet would be ideal.

Gidget has also had quite a medical journey. She previously had a luxating patella and underwent ACL surgery, which is now completely healed. She has also had full BOAS surgery. Her only current health issue is allergies, which require lifelong medication and ongoing management.

Gidget really is a pretty unique and special girl. She may be gorgeous on the outside, but it is her beautiful personality that makes her so special. She is affectionate, playful, gentle and loves being with her people.

We aren’t looking for just any home for Gidget.
We’re looking for her unicorn family - someone who will appreciate her wonderful personality, understand her quirks and be committed to her ongoing care. ❤️

She is in care in Wallsend, NSW and is not available for interstate adoption. Her adoption fee is $1000 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
