About Amelie
Amelie is a sweet but shy girl looking for a loving forever home. She can take a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but once she trusts you, her gentle and affectionate personality shines through. Amelie loves calm, respectful company and appreciates people who understand cat body language and give her the choice to interact. She enjoys consented affection and may politely head-butt your hand when she would like some gentle cheek scratches. Her boundaries are important, and she will thrive with a family who is patient and willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. Providing environmental enrichment, such as toys, scratching posts, hiding spaces, and opportunities to explore, will help keep Amelie happy, stimulated, and confident. Given a little time and plenty of gentle care, Amelie will blossom into a wonderful companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
