MEET LILLY — 31KG OF GENTLE, SCRUFFY LOVE! 💗🐾
🌸 9-month-old female Irish Wolfhound | 31kg and still growing! 🌸
Hello everyone, my name is Lilly… and I’m really hoping that my forever family is out there somewhere. 🥺❤️
I’m a beautiful young Irish Wolfhound girl, and while I might look big and scruffy, I’m actually a shy, gentle and rather submissive girl who would much rather quietly win you over than bounce all over you! 🥰
At just 9 months old, I’m already showing what a lovely young lady I can be. I’m well-mannered, mature for my age, fully house/toilet trained, walk nicely on lead and I’m not an escape artist. I also don’t have many destructive or chewing habits you might expect from a typical puppy. 🙌
🏡 I’ve spent my whole life living in an apartment, so I know apartment life — but at 31kg already, with plenty more growing to do, I think I’d really love a home where I have a little more room to stretch those very long legs!
👧 Kids? I’ve grown up around primary-school-aged children and have had good manners with them. Although we cant test at the pound how i am around children my previous owner notes iv always been kind with kids, but meets with children in the home are always encouraged at the pound.
🐕 DOGS: I absolutely LOVE having a canine friend around! I’ve previously lived with my brother, another Wolfhound, and having another dog gives me confidence. I’d love a home with a well-mannered, desexed male dog of a similar size, breed or gentle nature, subject of course to a proper meet-and-greet with any existing dog, would also be okay as a spoilt solo queen.
🐱 CATS: I have lived with cats before and I’m not considered aggressive towards them — BUT when a cat runs, well… that looks like an invitation to play chase! 😂 For the safety and happiness of everyone, my people think a cat-free home would be the best fit for me.
🍽️ I can be a little shy around food and actually prefer to eat when nobody is watching. I’m a sensitive girl in some ways, and I can be a little unsure around people I don’t know, particularly after living in an apartment complex where there are lots of unfamiliar neighbours.
Once I know you, though, you’ll see the lovely girl underneath that scruffy exterior. ❤️
And yes… I’m still a puppy! I LOVE to play, especially when I have a doggy friend who can keep up with me. Most of the dogs I’ve met have been my size or bigger, so I’d definitely love a companion who understands the joys of being a giant puppy! 🐕💨
🌿 Irish Wolfhounds are renowned for being gentle, mature and placid, and Lilly is already showing those beautiful qualities. She may be enormous compared with other 9-month-olds, but emotionally she’s still a young girl who needs patience, reassurance and a family who will let her confidence grow.
💔 And this is the part Lilly would really like you to know…
She is waiting in the pound.
She is hoping someone will see past her size and realise what an incredibly special girl she is. At her size, we know her potential adoption pool may be smaller — and that’s exactly why we’re hoping this post reaches the right person.
Lilly doesn’t need hundreds of people interested in her.
She just needs one family who looks at this big, beautiful, slightly shy girl and says, “Yep… she’s our girl.” ❤️
🏡 Could that be you?
