About Tangier
Meet Tangier,
A sweet little man who is finding the world a little overwhelming for him and requires consistent calm interactions to build his confidence. He is looking for a calm cat experienced household who can hold space for his nervousness and need for some quite time while he learns the ropes.
As he is FIV postive he will need to be kept strictly inside to protect himself and other cats, due to this he would also be best suited as the only cat in the household.
He finds changes scary so will need an understanding family who can work with him to find his footing in his new forever home. A good way to get off on the right paw is to offer him some tasty treats! With lots of love, patience and his favourite snacks he will build a strong bond with those he trusts. He is a little overwhelmed in shelter so hasn't figured out what his playstyle is yet.
Due to his conflict around people and new situations he would be best suited to adult or cat savvy teenagers to spend his days with.
If Tangier sounds like a match for your family come into the RSPCA to discuss potential adoption.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
