About Teddy
Teddy likes to meet everyone of all ages, he can bark a little for attention and as soon as he gets patts his tail wags showing his happiness.
Teddy loves doggy friends to play with. He plays with enthusiasm and can be bouncy, and jumpy and can be too much for older dogs, he would best suit a dog friend of similar size and of the same age or younger.
Teddy loves care rides and would love to go on regular rides with you. He walks really well on lead, he would suit regular shot walks or long walks and adventures.
Teddy knows how to sit and wait and is toilet trained. Teddy enjoys sleeps with his people in their bed and will find his way under the doona on cold nights and will stay there all night.
Teddy is currently being fostered with two other dogs, one is a similar age and they play together. Teddy warms to other dogs on walks, he can bark at them, but settles down after a sniff or two.
Teddy is very loyal and chooses to stay by my side most of the day. He loves to follow his person from room to room and cuddle on the couch. He likes to be the centre of attention around humans, he jumps around the other dogs to make sure he is first in for a pat.
Teddy is energetic and loves to run and play. He can live in a home as an only dog but would need lots of exercise to be happy and content and would like to go on regular outings with his person.
In a nutshell Teddy would suit living with a family or energetic person with a yard (not in an apartment or unit) that can take him on long walks. He can walk around the local lake which is 6km with no problems. He loves his soft toys, so keep plenty aside.
Teddy requires the following in his new home:
- To live in a house with a yard, not a unit or apartments.
- Another desexed dog in the home of similar size and age or younger. His doggy friend would need to by playful and enjoy rough and tumble style of play.
- He can live as an only dog in the home, but will need extra exercise as he won't have a play mate to use up his energy and will need his people home often.
- Daily walks with the additional longer walk or hikes on weekends.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis. We assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animals needs.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home, please send us a detailed email with some information about the people and any other animals in your home, as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteers who run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home must attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a fully refundable 2 week trial period. If you ever find yourself unable to care for, or keep your pet, please contact us and they will come back into our care, or we will do our best to assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition that you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
