About Swiss

A real character with loads of energy and plenty of opinions, Swiss is a handsome teenage boy who knows exactly what he wants!
Full of affection and personality, he's obsessed with playtime - chasing toys and racing around the house at breakneck speed, exploring every nook and cranny and keeping you non-stop entertained with his teenage cat antics!
He's also a serious foodie, and mealtimes are very important business in Swiss’s world. Expect strident reminders when he thinks breakfast or dinner is overdue!
Swiss is what we like to call aggressively friendly. Once he knows and trusts you, He's VERY enthusiastic about showing his affection! He’ll come looking for pats, head bumps, chin scratches and attention, and he can be wonderfully full-on when he’s excited to see you. He's a strong, confident fellow, so he’ll need an experienced cat owner who understands energetic young cats and is comfortable setting gentle, consistent boundaries.
Swiss may need some quiet time to decompress and get used to his new surroundings and people. Once he feels safe and knows his humans, however, his confident and affectionate personality really starts to shine!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Swiss is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm looking for a patient home that will embrace my energy, my big personality and my enormous capacity for affection. In return, you’ll have a hilarious, loving and entertaining companion who'll make sure life is never boring!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Very high! I’m a happy lad who loves to play, zoom, explore and get into mischief.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I adore attention from anyone, but older cat-savvy children (8+) who understand how to interact respectfully with a strong, energetic cat will be my best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Because I can be pretty intense I’ll need careful, gradual introductions to any resident cats. I grew up with plenty of other cats so I do get along well once I know them!
I've not met any dogs yet.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
