About Fiona
Introducing Fiona!
Fiona is a Domestic Short Hair born approx 28th February 2025.
Fiona and four other cats were brought into the facility from an awful situation. These cats were found by a housing provider, over a week after their owner moved out & left them behind. They had no one caring for or feeding them and sadly we were too late to save a sixth cat from the property. They were forced to live in their own filth and were clearly terrified of the sitaution they were in. While the cats are now safe with us, the matter has been referred to NSW Police & RSPCA for a multi-agency review & cruelty investigation.
As you can imagine, all five cats were overwhelmed, confused, scared and didn't trust humans whatsoever. Since being with us, all five cats have made incredible progress and we believe our beautiful Fiona is ready to find her forever family.
Fiona is starting to become an very playful girl. We've noticed her favourite toys are springs, a stuffed mouse on a string and her siblings. She's also very much a treat lover who adores her Dine liquid treats & every fish treat she's tested (so far) has been a winner!
Lately our cutie patootie has become much more affectionate & wanting human attention. Fiona's got a strong purr and we all love when her little motor starts. She's not afraid to ask for love and when she does, she will rub against your legs until you give her a cheek scratch or run your hand from the top of her head to the tip of her tail.
As Fiona has come from a home with numerous other cats, we believe she would prefer a home with another cat to play with, however she could also grow to love being the spoilt only "child" at home.
While Fiona hasn't been tested with children at the facility, we believe she could be suitable to live with children over 10yrs. As she can still be a little timid when meeting new people, we feel that younger & louder children may be too overhwelming for her. We would recommend doing a meet & greet with any children in the home to ensure the comfort of all parties.
Fiona will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Fiona is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most quite households.
If you think you could be that furever family for Fiona, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.

Fiona is currently located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
