Princess

Darling Princess was born and grew up in a remote community in the Northern Territory. When the community was devastated by flooding earlier in the year, she was separated from her owners who in the end did not return to the community. She was subsequently surrendered for care and rehoming with her old family’s consent.

Princess has proved herself to be a real quiet achiever. She is an unassuming dog who does not push herself forward but at the same time is very endearing. She has a calm and comfortable presence in the home. Part of her charm is that she appreciates every bit of attention she gets and everything that is done for her. She shows this by wagging her tail - when she is spoken to, when she gets a pat and a cuddle, even when she’s eating her dinner! Her favourite thing is having a big cuddle and belly scratch, and lots of encouraging words.

She takes pretty much everything in her stride - people, children, other dogs and new situations. She loves a walk, a play in the yard, a comfortable nap and of course her tucker. Princess loves the beach and a run through the water, as well as a bush run. She is well behaved both on and off the lead.

Her mild mannered, cooperative nature means that we can see Princess adapting to a variety of domestic settings. She would make a great companion for older children, but could be a loyal side kick to older people as well.

Princess will be in Adelaide in early October, so if you wish to apply for her you will have a chance to meet this wonderful girl in person.
