About Ren
Meet Ren!
Ren is a handsome ginger boy with absolutely no understanding of personal space — and he would like to keep it that way. This boy isn’t just affectionate. He is Stage 3 Clinger affectionate.
Ren LOVES people. Your lap? His. Your shoulders? Also his. Your arms? Obviously his. Your face? Excellent place to smoosh his face. If there is a way for Ren to reduce the distance between himself and his favourite human to approximately zero millimetres, he will find it!
In fact, getting nice photos of Ren is ridiculously difficult because the moment you get close enough to take one, Ren gets closer. Most photo sessions quickly become extreme close-ups of an eyeball, a nose, or a blurry orange forehead heading directly for the camera.
He’s also a very chatty boy with plenty to say. Ren loves to talk, chirp and sing to his people, so if you’ve ever wanted a cat you can have full conversations with, he is more than happy to participate. Whether his answers make sense is irrelevant — he has opinions and you’re going to hear them.
When he isn’t busy loving you with the intensity of a thousand suns, Ren loves to play. One of his favourite games is fetch with his little octopus wand, which he will happily chase and bring back for another round.
There is one important catch to this magnificent orange love affair: while Ren thinks humans are absolutely wonderful, he’s not nearly as enthusiastic about other cats. He would be happiest as an only cat where he doesn’t have to share his people — which, frankly, suits his plans perfectly.
Ren needs a home where someone is around a lot and genuinely wants a very involved companion. He isn’t the kind of cat who will quietly exist somewhere in the background. He wants to be where you are, doing what you’re doing, preferably while touching you.
If you’re looking for an independent cat who respects boundaries… keep scrolling. But if you want a hilarious, vocal, playful, ridiculously affectionate ginger boy who will ride on your shoulders, live in your lap, smoosh his face into yours, play fetch and happily make you his entire world, Ren might just be your perfect match. He doesn’t just want a forever home — he wants a forever person.
We think he would be great with older children, especially if it means more play and cuddle time! He is untested with dogs.
Ren currently eats Royal Canin biscuits, Fancy Feast wet food and uses clumping clay litter.-
