Misty

Misty, our beautiful smiley girl brings joy when you have been out of sight for a few minutes and she trots up to you with a huge smile on her face and her tail doing windmills.

Misty is an 8 year old, 30kg Kelpie cross (perhaps staffy but who knows really!) bundle of love, who adores her humans (especially the Dad of the house) and is relishing being included as a member of the family.

Misty loves her walks and is a bit over excited to start with (and very strong) but does settle down.

Due to having surgery her outings haven’t been as extensive as her doggy house mates but she is an intelligent girl who try’s her best to learn what you are asking for. Her lead manners have improved but she would benefit from ongoing training.

Misty’s interactions with other dogs have been limited but she has ignored a puppy.

Misty loves her food and also long naps. She growl speaks to us letting us know the patting must not stop and also a strange noise is outside.

She is not a huge barker either.

Misty loves butt scratches and will twirl with pleasure. She is also fearful of the hose but was quite happy to walk into the bathroom with the bath filling up ( not in the bath as too soon after surgery).

Misty really enjoys ear scratches, pats and snuggling up to you or a pillow.

She enjoys her toys and sunbathing on the grass.

Misty really loves her humans and would suit a household where someone is home more than not, she was a good girl when left for a few hours and had access to the indoors.

Previously being a yard dog and regularly not fed. Quite neglected

Misty would love to be a part of the family. She has interacted with children in her previous home but would probably suit families with teenage children, people who work from home, part timers or fit retirees.

Misty is desexed, chipped, wormed and her vet check showed discomfort when back legs (especially the right leg) was manipulated. She is currently on anti inflammatories and fish oils.
