About Honey
Honey's story is one that breaks our hearts a little.
At just six months old, this sweet girl has never known the comfort of a loving home. No cosy bed to call her own, no family waiting for her at the door, no lap to curl up on at the end of the day. Instead, Honey has spent her young life learning that the world can be a big and scary place.
Because of this, Honey is understandably timid and shy when meeting new people. She's not the kitten who will rush straight into your arms on day one. But if you're willing to give her a little patience, she'll show you something incredibly special: trust.
Every day, Honey grows a little braver. Gentle voices, soft interactions, and a calm environment help her come out of her shell. And if you happen to have a Cat Churu in your hand, you'll quickly discover the way to Honey's heart! Food is definitely her love language, and those tasty treats have helped her learn that people can be pretty wonderful after all.
Underneath her cautious exterior is a sweet, gentle little girl who desperately wants to feel safe and loved. Watching Honey learn to trust is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. The small victories, a curious approach, a gentle head bump, the first time she chooses to sit near you, feel absolutely magical.
Honey isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for someone who will see past her fear and recognise the beautiful cat she's becoming. Someone who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
If you've ever wanted to truly make a difference in an animal's life, Honey is waiting for you.
Honey is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Honey - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
