Meet Rocky, a big, beautiful American Staffy who wears his heart on his paw.

This extremely sweet boy is a giant softie and will quickly become the shadowiest shadow you could ever ask for. Despite his impressive size and strength, Rocky is completely convinced he is a tiny lap dog and will happily melt right into your lap for all the love and affection you can give him.

Underneath his sturdy exterior, Rocky is actually a big baby who needs a patient, understanding family. He requires gradual, positive confidence building when it comes to experiencing new people, new environments, and other dogs. It is absolutely crucial that his future owners let him take things at his own pace. He cannot be rushed into anything overwhelming while he learns that the world is a safe, fun place.

Because of his physical strength and size, Rocky is best suited to a home with secondary school aged children and above. He could potentially share his new life with a canine sibling, provided they are the right match and have a successful meet and greet here at the shelter first.
