About Cat
Cat is a female Turkish Angora available for adoption in Frankston North (Melbourne, Victoria).
Cat greets a stranger like an old friend. Offer her a hand and she'll press her head straight into it, purring before you've even said hello.
She's an affectionate, sweet-tempered 11-year-old cat with a gentle way about her and a playful streak that hasn't faded one bit.
And yes, her name really is Cat. It suits her: simple, classic and impossible to forget.
A little about Cat:
🐾 Kneads your lap thoroughly before settling in for a cuddle
🐾 Rubs against your legs and trills when she's happy to see you
🐾 Sets boundaries with a soft, clawless tap of the paw
🐾 Reads her people well, and saves rougher play for those who enjoy it
🐾 Loves a wander around the garden, then a long nap on her bed
Cat's days have a comfortable rhythm. Breakfast comes first, followed by a play session, which usually means interrupting her housemate's morning workout.
After that, she likes to come and go, waiting politely at the back door to be let in or out. Between visits, she explores the garden and settles in for a cat nap.
Affection is where Cat shines. She loves pats and cuddles, and she's just as happy to share them with new people as with her own household. Once she's settled in your lap, she's happy to stay there purring for the evening.
She's thoughtful in how she plays, too. She learns how each person likes to interact and adjusts to match, gentle with some and a little more boisterous with others.
Cat would love a calm household where someone is home more often than not. She'd be happiest as the only pet, with all the attention to herself.
Her guardian can picture her with an older guardian or a family with children, and she'd enjoy safe outdoor access with plenty of shady spots to rest.
Cat has always toileted outside and has never used a litter tray. She’d be happiest in a home with safe outdoor access. If her new home is mostly indoors, we can share resources to support her through the change.
Picture evenings on the couch with a purring cat kneading your lap, a trill at the door when you get home, and a warm head pressed into your hand whenever you reach down.
Cat is a social, loving companion who makes everyone she meets feel like a friend. She's ready to bring her easy charm and gentle heart to a home that loves a cuddle as much as she does.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
