About Reggie
❤️ Meet Reggie — Your Future Best Friend
We don’t know what happened to Reggie before he came to the Village, but the marks he carries from his past tell us he hasn’t always had the easy life he deserves. He can still be a little unsure and submissive at times, but that chapter is behind him now and Reggie’s future is looking incredibly bright.
Since arriving at the Village, this clever boy has come such a long way. The leash was a brand-new experience, but once he understands what’s expected of him, he picks things up quickly. Reggie is incredibly smart, a fast learner and eager to please. He will be a dream to train.
And then there’s that smile… The smile of an excited teenager who is discovering that life can actually be pretty amazing!
His foster family describes him as having the best temperament — happy, friendly and just an all-round beautiful boy.
Reggie has been living happily with both male and female dogs. He also currently lives with 7-year-old rag doll cat and although has shown interest, the cat has set the boundaries so he is learning from a distance (so a cat in his future will depend on the cat).
He sleeps soundly in his crate at night and is toilet trained. What more could a family ask for?
He’s still discovering the world one new experience at a time, but with the right family by his side, we know this boy is going to flourish.

At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
