About Dorian
Dorian is a quiet little boy who just needs some time to realise that you're a friend.
At seven months old, Dorian is still young, but the shelter environment can be a little overwhelming for him. He tends to tuck himself away somewhere dark and safe when he's feeling unsure, and he can be nervous when someone first approaches. Go slowly and gently, though, and you'll find a sweet boy who is quite happy to be patted.
Dorian especially enjoys gentle head pats and neck scratches. He may not be brave enough to come straight over and ask for them yet, but once you start, he relaxes and enjoys the attention. He's also comfortable being handled and picked up, despite his initial nerves.
Dorian would suit someone who understands that confidence doesn't always happen overnight. Give him a safe place to settle, approach him gently and let him get to know you at his own pace. Underneath that shy exterior is a lovely young cat who is already showing us how much he enjoys affection.
Come and meet Dorian at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
