About Monty
Monty is a big, gentle boy with a wonderfully chilled-out approach to life.
Found as a stray with no identification, Monty arrived in our care with a large wound on his left hind area caused by a burst abscess. Our veterinary team has taken good care of him, and his wound is now healing well. With all of that behind him, Monty seems more interested in enjoying the good things in life, especially a comfortable spot and some quality attention.
He's a calm and friendly boy who happily leans into head pats and particularly enjoys a good scratch around his neck. Monty isn't an over-the-top attention seeker. He has a lovely relaxed presence and seems quite content simply hanging out with you and soaking up affection when it comes his way. Add in his chonky proportions and he makes for one very lovable housemate.
Monty's healing wound will just need to continue being monitored as it finishes recovering. He also has mild Grade 1 dental disease and will benefit from regular dental home care to help maintain healthy teeth and gums.
If a sweet, chilled-out boy with plenty of cat to cuddle sounds like your kind of companion, come and meet Monty at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible. Our cats cannot be placed on hold.
