About Coco - 5 Year Old French Bulldog
Meet Coco š¾
Coco is a 5-year-old French Bulldog
Coco forms incredibly strong bonds with her humans and loves nothing more than one-on-one companionship.
Sheāll happily follow you from room to room before settling in for long naps on the couch or her favourite bed, complete with the sweetest little snore. Most days are calm and sleepy, although she does have a short and hilarious āgremlin modeā after dinner, when a little burst of zoomies makes an appearance.
Coco is a very low-energy girl with a calm temperament. She enjoys short, relaxed walks where she can sniff at her own pace, with long grass being a particular favourite.
Around the home, Coco is quiet and rarely barks, making her well suited to apartment or townhouse living. She is very much an indoor dog who thrives on comfort, routine and, most importantly, having her person close by.
The right home for Coco ā¤ļø
Coco is looking for a very calm, quiet and stable home. This is particularly important for her wellbeing.
She has separation anxiety and cannot be left alone for long periods. Initially, she should not be left for more than 3ā4 hours, and not every day. Someone who works from home, has a flexible schedule or is home most of the time would be ideal.
Coco also does not enjoy having lots of visitors or guests coming and going. She would be happiest in a peaceful household with minimal visitors and a predictable routine. She needs someone who understands that creating a safe, calm environment is a really important part of helping her feel secure.
Coco has unfortunately returned to rescue after previously being adopted, so finding the right person for her this time is incredibly important. We are looking for someone who is genuinely committed to Coco for the rest of her life and understands that rescue dogs can sometimes need patience, consistency and time to settle.
Rescue dog experience is strongly preferred. Coco needs an adopter who can read her body language, respect her boundaries, be patient with her and give her the consistency and reassurance she needs.
Coco is not suited to living with young children. While she can tolerate them, she would be happiest and most relaxed in an adult-only home.
Coco has not done well living full-time with other dogs and would be best as the only pet in the home, with no cats or small animals.
Cocoās care needs
Coco has some breed-typical care needs that are currently well managed. She has sensitive skin and allergies, which are controlled with medicated shampoos, a fresh food diet and regular care.
She also has a screw tail that simply requires routine checking and gentle cleaning as part of her normal hygiene routine.
These needs are very typical for French Bulldogs and are easily maintained with consistency and good routine.
Coco isnāt looking for an overly busy household or someone who wants a dog to accompany them everywhere. She wants her person, her home, her routine and her safe space.
In return, Coco will give you an incredible amount of love. She is an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be beside her person, curled up on the couch or happily following you around the house.
After everything Coco has been through, we are determined to find her the home she deserves ā one where she is understood, loved and truly considered a member of the family.
If you feel you could be the right match for Coco, weād love to hear from you.
