Arlo

Arlo is a gentle young boy who might need a moment to find his confidence, but a few good pats are already a pretty convincing way to win him over.

The shelter can feel like a lot for Arlo, so his first instinct is often to find somewhere safe and quietly take everything in. Approach him calmly, though, and you'll start to see him soften. He enjoys gentle pats and rubs, closing his eyes as he settles into the attention. He may still look a little unsure while he's enjoying them, but it's clear there's a sweet and friendly boy underneath those nerves.

Arlo will likely appreciate having a quiet space of his own when he first arrives home, where he can settle in without feeling rushed. With a predictable routine, patient people and plenty of affection when he's ready for it, we think his confidence will continue to grow and more of his personality will start to shine.
