About Clarion
Clarion might hide away when you first meet her, but give this sweet girl a little time and you may find yourself wondering where that shy cat disappeared to.
Clarion came into our care as a stray with no identification, and the busy shelter environment has been overwhelming for her. When she feels unsure, her instinct is to tuck herself away somewhere safe and quietly watch what's happening around her. But approach her gently, offer a few soft pats and give her time to realise you're a friend, and a completely different side of Clarion begins to appear.
Once comfortable, Clarion is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. She'll come out from her hiding spot, lean into pats and happily enjoy scratches around her head and cheeks. She's even been known to roll around while soaking up the attention! Although she may always be a little cautious when something is new, she has shown us that there's a genuinely friendly cat underneath those initial nerves who simply needs to feel safe before letting her guard down.
We think a peaceful home could be exactly what Clarion needs to truly blossom. With patient people, a cosy place to retreat to and plenty of affection waiting whenever she's ready, she has all the makings of a beautiful little companion. Her fluffy coat will also need regular brushing to keep it comfortable and looking its best, which might just become another opportunity for some one-on-one time once she trusts her new family.
Clarion is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
