🐾 Meet Ralph! 🐾

Ralph, or “Ralphy” as he is affectionately known, is a gorgeous 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a big personality and an even bigger love for his humans. 💙

He’s a happy, affectionate goofball who loves nothing more than a good walk, a beach adventure, a belly rub and curling up beside you on the couch. 🥰

Ralph is a wonderful companion who is looking for a home where he can be part of the family, enjoy plenty of exercise and, most importantly, have lots of company and cuddles.

❤️ Ralph’s Favourite Things
🏖️ Beach walks – Walkies are one of Ralph’s favourite things, especially when there’s a beach involved!
🐾 Sniffing adventures – He loves exploring new environments and taking his time to investigate all the interesting smells.
🛋️ Couch cuddles – Ralph is happiest when he can snuggle up beside his humans.
👨‍👩‍👦 Being with his people – He loves being near his humans and wants to be part of whatever you're doing.
🤗 Belly rubs – A guaranteed way to make Ralph happy!
🤪 Being a goofball – Ralph has a fun, silly side that will keep you entertained.
🐶 Canine company – He would ideally love to have another friendly dog in his new home.

🧠 Ralph’s Training
Ralph is already a very well-behaved boy and knows some great basics:
✅ Sit
✅ Stay
✅ Go to bed
🚽 Fully toilet trained
💤 Sleeps happily in a crate overnight

He walks well on a lead, although his Spaniel nose can sometimes take over! 👃🐾 When he's somewhere new, Ralph loves to sniff and explore, and because he is a strong boy, he can pull a little.

His new family should be happy to continue working with him on:
🎓 Walking calmly on lead
🧠 Learning new tricks
🐾 Building his focus and manners around other dogs

🐕 Ralph & Other Dogs
Ralph enjoys meeting other dogs. He can sometimes bark at dogs while out walking, but once he gets the opportunity to say hello and have a good sniff, he is generally happy to interact.

For this reason, we'd ideally like Ralph to have another resident dog for company in his new home. 🐶❤️

Having a canine companion would also help him feel more comfortable when his humans aren't around.

👨‍👩‍👧 Ralph & Children
Ralph could live happily with children who are old enough to understand when a dog needs some space and can respect his boundaries.

As with any dog, his new family should understand canine body language and give him the choice to move away when he wants some quiet time. 🐾

🏡 Ralph’s Ideal Home
Ralph's biggest challenge is that he doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods. He can cry and bark when his humans leave, so he needs a home where he won't be alone much.

His ideal family would be:
🐶 Ideally have another friendly resident dog to keep him company.
🏡 Have someone home for much of the day, or a lifestyle where Ralph can spend lots of time with his people.
🚶‍♀️ Be active and committed to daily walks.
🎓 Be willing to continue his training and help him become an even better walker.
🧠 Understand dogs and be comfortable reading his body language.
❤️ Give him plenty of affection, companionship and attention.
🐾 Enjoy having a dog who wants to be involved in family life.

💙 A Note About Ralph’s “Grumble”
Ralph occasionally makes a little grumbling noise, particularly when he's being stroked and is happily sitting with you. We haven't known him to growl during his time with us.

It appears to be more of a happy grumble than a warning — especially as he will voluntarily come and sit on you and remains relaxed and affectionate. If he were uncomfortable, he has shown that he is able to simply move away.

That said, his new family should be experienced and confident with dogs, and able to recognise the difference between a happy, relaxed dog and one who is uncomfortable or asking for space. 🐾

🌟 Could Ralph Be Your Boy?
Ralph is a loving, funny and affectionate Cocker Spaniel who wants to be close to his people and enjoy life with them.

He isn't looking for a home where he'll spend long days by himself. He's looking for a family who will say “yes” to walkies, “yes” to cuddles, “yes” to adventures and “yes” to having a goofy Spaniel by their side. 🥰

If you can offer Ralph the companionship, exercise, training and love he deserves, he could be the wonderful four-legged addition your family has been waiting for. 🐾💙
