Sophie

Sophie is a beautiful, affectionate Maltese with a heart full of love and a passion for being close to her people. Her absolute favourite place in the world is curled up on a warm lap, and she'll happily take every opportunity she can to snuggle beside her humans and soak up all the affection on offer.

During her time in foster care, Sophie formed a particularly special bond with one person and loved following them from room to room. She enjoys being involved in whatever her family is doing and is always on the lookout for a cosy spot beside someone she loves.

Sophie is delighted to meet new people and greets everyone with plenty of enthusiasm. She can sometimes get a little carried away and jump up to say hello, so continued positive guidance with her manners will help. Once introductions are over, she quickly settles and is generally a calm, quiet companion.

She knows some basic commands, including sit and stay, though her stay could still use a little polishing! Treats don't hold much appeal for Sophie, but cuddles and attention certainly do. A loving pat or kind word is all the motivation she needs. Which is properly for the best, as little Sophie is on a prescription diet called: Anallergenic. During her time in care, she showed signs of a food allergy and since being put on this new diet, Sophie has fully recovered and is happy and healthy for move on to the next stage of her life!

Sophie has settled beautifully into household life. She confidently uses the doggie door, enjoys spending time outdoors soaking up the sunshine, and is comfortable relaxing in her crate, especially when her people are nearby. She also loves her walks and has plenty of stamina for longer adventures.

Overall, Sophie is a sweet, devoted little dog who wants nothing more than to be part of a loving family. Gentle, affectionate, and incredibly people-focused, she'll happily spend her days by your side and, whenever possible, right there on your lap! Must meet all members of the household at time of adoption meet to ensure a good match!
