Hello, I'm Amelie.

I'm a little shy lady who's still learning that the world can be a safe and lovely place. I came into care as a stray and, sadly, no one came looking for me. But I'm hoping that just means my story is waiting for its happy chapter.

My foster family says I'm slowly finding my confidence. I like having a cosy little hideaway to retreat to, and you might find me perched somewhere quietly watching the world go by while you read or watch TV.

Once I've decided you're safe, though, I can be very smoochy. I'll come over for pats, lean into you and enjoy a little affection - just on my terms, please! Being picked up isn't really my idea of fun.

I think I'd be happiest as the only cat in a quiet home, with someone patient enough to let me settle in at my own pace. I'm not the sort of girl who will rush straight into your arms, but give me time, kindness and a cosy spot to call my own, and you may just discover a very sweet little companion underneath that cautious exterior.
