Sparky is a friendly, happy puppy who is ready to join a caring and active family. Given a solid foundation of socialisation, training and age-appropriate exercise - along with loads of love - Sparky will be your best friend, and well on the way to maturing into a friendly, confident and happy adult dog. We have no information on Sparky's Mum or Dad, but he appears to have some kind of 'hound' in his breeding. We estimate he'll grow into large dog when adult.

Sparky loves company and will thrive in a home with someone around most of the time, especially while he is getting used to his new world - and preferably for the first few months in his new family. He's an active, playful pup who'll need exercise, training, playtimes and lots of naps and love. He currently likes to jump up and is a bit mouthy - just typical puppy behaviours which he will outgrow, especially with consistent reminders. He has been fine around his carer's chooks, cats are an unknown.

Note that if renting, we may request proof of permission to keep a dog at your property. Please ensure that all members of your household are on board with adopting a pup before filling in an enquiry form, and consider your lifestyle, work hours, activity level, space, and the time you have to commit, before applying.

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, flea and worm treatment, puppy vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership) and sterilisation at 6 months at a STAR approved vet clinic. Sparky has some sunburn to his nose. While still young he should be protected from time in full sun to protect his little snout going forward.

ADOPTION DETAILS
Our adoption process includes a meet-and-greet with the chosen applicant (and any dog already in the household or who regularly stays at the home, along with their current vaccination card); a property check and a 2 week trial period to ensure the pup is the right fit for the home.

The adoption fee must be deposited electronically into our Second Tale Animal Rescue bank account in full before an adoption trial starts. STAR will arrange transfer of ownership on the pup's microchip once the trial period is completed.

To arrange sterilisation at 6 months old, a STAR approved vet clinic must be used. Adopters will be advised of the closest approved vet to their home.
