Y’all… you genuinely do not understand. You should be RACING to be the one who gets to adopt this ridiculously handsome man! 😭💙👑 Carta is truly one of the most affectionate, cuddly kings you could ever hope to meet — literally a living, breathing teddy bear! 🧸🥹
This gorgeous boy absolutely loves being around his people and simply enjoys being part of whatever is happening. Whether he’s perched comfortably nearby, completely relaxed and watching the world go by, or curled up against you demanding pats and cuddles, Carta is happiest when he gets to share his space with the people he loves. 🥰🐾💕
And honestly? Carta might just be the chillest cat alive. 😂💨 This man is ALWAYS relaxed, incredibly easy-going and just happily vibing through life. He has that wonderfully calm, laid-back personality that makes him such a joy to have around. 💙✨
One of Carta’s most adorable little quirks is the way he gets your attention — he’ll dramatically roll onto his back and sway from side to side until you simply have to notice him! 🥹😭💕 How could anyone possibly resist?!
Carta also has a bit of an adventurous side! 🐾🌿 He absolutely loves going for walks up and down the apartment hallway, happily exploring and stopping to sniff everything along the way. He has even ventured downstairs to collect Uber Eats, and was perfectly content wandering around and taking in all the exciting smells! 😂🐱 Because of how much he enjoys exploring, Carta could be an absolutely fantastic candidate for on-leash training and supervised adventures with his future family. 🐕🦺✨
This handsome king is wonderfully social and adaptable, and could do well with other pets, groups of people and families with children. 💕🐱🐶👨👩👧👦 He’s also both litter trained and grass trained, making him ready to settle into his forever home!

Our adoptable cats are indoor-only to keep them safe, healthy and happy. We ask all adopters to provide a secure indoor home where their new companion can thrive.
For all cats under 12 months old, Rocky Roads Rescue has a strict, no single kittens adoption policy. Solo adoptions will only be permitted if specified in the cat's profile.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
