My Ideal Home:
• Once I am old enough I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy. I am an active breed so will need an active lifestyle!
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• Because I can be shy in new situations, a home without little ones who may accidentally startle me would suit me best.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• Because I may have had a sheltered start and can be shy in new situations, continued socialisation will really help build my confidence. I'm already becoming braver at the shelter!
• It would be highly beneficial for me to go to a home with another dog - I LOVE other dogs and am most comfortable & happy in the presence.
• As I am only a puppy I will adapt to a home with cats/other animals easily

My Paw-some Perks:
• I'm food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I'm gentle and placid in nature, and I've had some basic obedience training - I already know how to sit.
• I walk nicely on lead for a young pup, however will require gentle reassurance to keep moving when I am spooked by something .
• I LOVE other dogs!!
• I love cuddles & laying in your lap.

Training & Support Needs:
• I haven't had any formal training yet, so I'll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• It appears that I may have had a rough start to life. I am a reserved & timid little lady, I am a wiggle bum behind the fence/kennel however when you enter the yard/kennel I will dart away and try to hide. I am getting so much braver and really want to trust! I will require a special family who will take things at my pace, show/teach me all the joys of the world and watch me blossom <3

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Opal if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
