About Harvey
Harvey is a calm, affectionate and curious boy who loves being around his people. He’s a gentle soul who may take a little time to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, he’ll happily keep you company and enjoy plenty of attention.
Harvey loves a good head rub and butt scratch, and he especially enjoys human interaction on his own terms. He’s not a fan of being picked up or held, preferring instead to sit nearby and be part of the action. When he’s happy, you’ll hear his lovely purr, and when he’s feeling hungry, he’s not shy about letting you know with a meow!
One of Harvey’s cutest habits is making biscuits - he’ll happily knead away on just about any surface. His favourite spot is near a window where he can watch the world go by. Harvey is definitely a ground dweller, so a cosy blanket on the floor is much more appealing to him than a high perch. He’s not completely comfortable with heights just yet, but he’s learning and gaining confidence at his own pace.
Harvey is quite friendly with other cats and would be happy as a solo cat or with a calm, friendly feline companion. He has seen dogs and, rather than making a fuss, his response is simply to walk away, so a calm home where he can have his own space would suit him best.
He’s low-energy, food motivated and enjoys a peaceful environment where he can relax, observe and build trust. Harvey would love a patient person or family who understands that the best relationships are built at his pace.
With a little patience, a cosy blanket and plenty of head rubs, Harvey could be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, easy going cat who simply wants to be near his people.

Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will send you our Adoption Application Form 💛
Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens may be the right match for you, we will then arrange either a home visit or request a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we offer a 2-week trial period to ensure your new cat or kitten is the right fit for your family 🐾
Conditions apply. Heart & Soul Rescue reserves the right to decline a full refund if recommendations and care requirements regarding your adopted cat or kitten have not been followed during the 2 week trial period. A 25% administration fee applies if a cat or kitten is returned during that time.
Heart & Soul Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit charity. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and fundraising to cover our vet and rescue costs.
