About Sable
Sable is a beautiful, inquisitive and playful young boy with the sweetest, gentlest nature.
He came into care from a colony in Melbourne’s western suburbs with his sister, Rayne, and has also formed a very close bond with Ember, who came from the same colony. Sable absolutely loves the company of other cats and would be especially happy to be adopted with Ember or Rayne.
He is a curious little soul who enjoys batting balls around, loves his food and likes being close to his people. He will happily sleep on your bed, follow you around and spend time nearby, but he is still learning to fully trust human touch. At the moment, he is most comfortable being patted while he is eating.
Sable is currently living in a foster home with more than 10 other cats, so there is a lot going on around him. We are very confident that in a quieter home of his own, with a patient and understanding family, he will continue to settle and flourish.
He needs someone who will appreciate the little milestones - the first time he chooses to sit closer, the first relaxed pat, the first moment he realises that this really is his home. For the right person, watching Sable’s confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding.
He is gentle, sweet, beautifully natured and simply stunning to look at. There is something very special about him.
Sable is looking for a home with someone who understands that former street cats can take a little longer to trust, but who wants to give one the chance to finally have the safety, love and family they deserve.
A home with another friendly cat is very important for Sable, and adopting him with Ember or Rayne would be wonderful.
Please give Sable a chance. He has spent enough of his life without a home of his own, and he deserves to know what it feels like to truly belong.

Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will send you our Adoption Application Form 💛
Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens may be the right match for you, we will then arrange either a home visit or request a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we offer a 2-week trial period to ensure your new cat or kitten is the right fit for your family 🐾
Conditions apply. Heart & Soul Rescue reserves the right to decline a full refund if recommendations and care requirements regarding your adopted cat or kitten have not been followed during the 2 week trial period. A 25% administration fee applies if a cat or kitten is returned during that time.
Heart & Soul Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit charity. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and fundraising to cover our vet and rescue costs.
