🐾❤️ Meet Nugget — A Handsome Senior Boy Looking for His Forever Home ❤️🐾

Nugget is a handsome 10½-year-old Jack Russell x boy with the most beautiful nature. He is chilled, easy-going, quiet, placid and very polite — just an absolute sweetheart. 🥰

Nugget gets along well with other gentle dogs and is happiest living life at a relaxed pace.

He enjoys having a little stroll around the backyard, finding a sunny spot for a peaceful sunbath when the sun is out, and then retreating to his fluffy warm bed or the couch to relax beside his favourite human. ☀️🛋️🐶

Nugget is a very polite boy… but there is one thing he takes very seriously — FOOD! 😂❤️

He absolutely loves his meals and, while he would never bully another dog, he certainly won’t let anyone bully him out of his share! After all, a gentleman has to make sure he doesn’t miss dinner! 🍗😂

Nugget will munch on kibble when he has to, but given the choice, he much prefers a nice hearty meal. He especially enjoys his healthy home-cooked dinner — and we suspect this handsome boy knows exactly how to appreciate a good meal!

Nugget doesn’t ask for much from life. He is perfectly happy spending his days relaxing around his favourite person, enjoying the comforts of home. And while he loves having his human around, he is also a sensible boy who understands that sometimes his humans have things to do and he is happy to spend some quiet time on his own.

At 10½ years old, Nugget is looking for someone who will give him the loving retirement home he deserves.

All he really needs is:

* Ages of all household members
* Occupations of household members
* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Nugget will spend his time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Nugget’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Nugget the time, patience and support he needs to settle into her new home?

7. How many hours will Nugget be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Nugget with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Nugget be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Nugget will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Nugget, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, rehome him?
