About Poki
Meet Poki!
Poki is a gentle, beautiful soul who is slowly finding his feet after a rough start.
He came into care looking a little worse for wear, but with time, good food and plenty of TLC, he is already starting to look and feel much better.
Poki recently had six teeth removed, so he is still a little sore while he recovers, but through it all he has remained incredibly sweet and gentle.
He’s the kind of cat who quietly tugs at your heart — soft-natured, deserving and ready for the chance to discover what life can be like when he is safe, cared for and loved.
Poki is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can continue to heal and settle in at his own pace. In return, he has all the makings of a very special companion.

Medical notes
Poki has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).
FIV affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV-positive cats live long, happy and healthy lives with good nutrition, regular veterinary care and an indoor lifestyle.
FIV is primarily spread between cats through deep bite wounds, usually during serious fighting. It is not spread to humans or other animal species.
As with any cat, regular health checks are recommended, and any signs of illness should be addressed promptly. Keeping an FIV-positive cat indoors helps reduce their exposure to infections and also prevents transmission through fighting with other cats.
Like any cat, the main thing to keep on top of is his dental as if left untreated can make him more unwell. His teeth are currently in good shape (as of Sept 2026) and he has had 6 teeth extracted and a dental clean.
