About Dora
🐾 Hi, I’m Dora! 🤎
I’m a 6-year-old Labrador with a huge heart, a goofy personality and so much love to give.
I’m everything you’d expect from a typical Lab – sweet, affectionate, friendly, happy and a total dork. I love people, I love being involved, and I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my humans.
So far, my carers are finding that I get along with pretty much everyone I meet. I’m also very social with other dogs and regularly attend doggy daycare, where I enjoy hanging out with my canine friends.
I’m house trained and have good manners around the home. I’d love a family who will include me in everyday life – whether that’s heading out together, spending time in the backyard or simply hanging out at home.
Like any enthusiastic Lab, I can sometimes get a little carried away when I’m excited and jump up to say hello. Because of my size and enthusiasm, I’m looking for a home without young children. Secondary-school-aged kids would be absolutely fine.
I haven’t been tested with cats, so at this stage we’re not sure what I think of them.
I also have an old injury to one of my front legs, which means you’ll sometimes see me carry my paw. My vet team has investigated this and hasn’t been able to find any evidence of current pain or discomfort. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying life, but it is something my new family needs to be aware of and continue to keep an eye on.
Really, I’m just a beautiful, big-hearted Lab who wants someone to love. I have plenty of affection to give and would love to find a family who appreciates my goofy side and wants me to be part of their world.
