Hi, I’m Possum! I’m a unique-looking older kitten with a unique personality.

Nature
I’m still new to interacting with people and can be cautious around them, but I’m not shy. In fact, I have quickly learnt how much I love people (and what they can do for me!).

When I get pats, I think it’s the best thing in the whole world and will happily put my entire face and body into them. While I may be named ‘Possum’, my foster parents think I’m more like a baby bird, in that I will squeak at people if they dare withhold attention. If you talk to me, I will try my best to carry on the conversation with my little squeaks.

I also love other cats, and if I’m not trying to get human attention, I turn my efforts to smooching the resident fosters I live with. My particular favourite is the grumpy old tomcat, who I’ve now turned into the softest, loving boy with my snuggling.

My new family will need to be willing to work with me as I grow up and continue to learn how awesome people can be.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I am great with other cats, although they may have to accept that I want to smooch them a lot. I am untested with dogs and children.

Likes / Dislikes
I love attention, pats, scratches and strokes, toys, and having a conversation.
I don’t like sudden, fast movements or being picked up.

My PURR-fect home would be with someone who’s willing to start slowly with me so I can continue to build my confidence. I also need a home that provides me with attention and stimulation (I’m still a kitten, after all!), and I would do best with another cat for company who can also teach me the ways of the world. I want to connect with those around me (people and other animals), and I’m looking to be a proper member of the family!

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
