About Opal
Meet Opal, the one-of-a-kind, black merle pug with an enchanting gaze from one blue eye and one brown eye. She's a loyal and sweet soul who has recently proven herself as a brilliant mom to a litter of puppies. Now that those little bundles of joy have been weaned and are ready to find their paths, Opal is poised for a new beginning filled with love and companionship.
Opal is a proficient couch potato, perfectly content to curl up next to her favorite person for a long snooze. Her gentle nature and well-trained demeanor make her an ideal partner for anyone looking for a calm and easygoing companion. She’s wonderfully trained, always staying beside you without a leash tug or hint of wandering off.
Beyond her delightful demeanor, Opal has a distinct penchant for food, which makes training a breeze. She is also toilet trained and always ready for late morning snoozes or relaxing evenings spent nestling in the crook of your arm on the couch. She is only 8.5kg making her a wonderful lap dog and she is very happy to sleep beside you in bed.
If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion who will stay by your side through thick and thin, Opal could be the perfect addition to your life. With her by your side, you'll have a loyal friend who's as comfortable in quiet moments as she is in showing mild enthusiasm in life’s little adventures.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
She breathes excellently and has shown no breathing issues at all.
She is a brachycephalic breed. All suffer from BOAS in some way, either minor or severe. They are always at risk of boas ( brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome)becoming clinical- creating difficulty breathing. We expect you to have a complete understanding of the condition and discuss the potential surgical, environmental and medical modifications you may have to do for this condition with your vet before you apply for this dog. It is also a excellent idea to take advantage of the trial period to have your vet check over the dog and give you more pointers on this breed related issue and the expectations for their care and management.
