Cleo

Cleo might try to make herself small when the world feels overwhelming, but offer her a gentle hand and you'll start to see just how much affection this lovely girl has to give.

Cleo came into our care as a stray with no identification, so we don't know much about her life before arriving here. What we do know is that the shelter can be a lot for her. She can be timid when first approached and prefers to observe from somewhere she feels safe, but patience goes a long way with Cleo.

Once she realises everything is okay, her whole demeanour begins to change. Cleo has been seen leaning into scratches, kneading her paws, lifting her little bum for more pats and even rolling onto her side to show her belly. She may still have moments where she feels unsure and wants some space, but underneath those nerves is a sweet girl who clearly knows how lovely human affection can be.

Cleo would thrive with kind, patient people who can give her a quiet space to settle and let her confidence grow naturally. She doesn't need to be rushed. She just needs the opportunity to discover that her new home is safe, and we think watching more of that affectionate personality emerge will be incredibly rewarding.

Cleo arrived with dental disease and has already undergone dental surgery, including extractions, to get her mouth feeling much better. Dental changes are common as cats get older, and from here she'll simply benefit from good dental home care and regular monitoring to help maintain her dental health.
