🍪ABOUT BISCUIT🍪
Biscuit is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves nothing more than a good pat and some quality time with his people. He may be a little timid when he first meets you, but don’t let those initial shy moments fool you, with a few tasty treats and some gentle pats, Biscuit quickly discovers that you’re a friend. And once he feels comfortable, his sweet and affectionate personality really starts to shine.💞 He loves playing with toys and is extremely cat social and would likely thrive with feline companionship.
MEDICAL NOTES:
Biscuit came into care after being rescued from an abandoned hoarding property. He has severe gingivitis, and is suspected to have either FCGS (Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis) or severe juvenile gingivitis. There is the possibility this boy will require full mouth extractions as part of his journey. 🦷
Veterinarians believe that his mouth will need to be closely monitored for, at minimum, the next 6 months, and up to 18 months. By the age of >1-1.5 years of age, it would be known what his condition is likely to be.
- If it is FCGS, his symptoms will worsen; the inflammation will extend beyond the gums and into the buccal mucosa & soft tissues at the back of the mouth. We would likely see easy bleeding of the mucosa and proliferative or ulcerative lesions. This is when full mouth extractions would be indicated.
- If this is truly just a really severe case of feline juvenile gingivitis, then it will resolve on its own once the adult dentition has settled, which could be after he is at least 2 years old. Surgical intervention may be required to remove any overgrown or hyperplastic gingiva if it is indicated.

Adoption details
All dogs are to have a meet and greet (where possible) and be approved by the foster carers and the adoption application.
All dogs will be desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm treated before being rehomed.
