Beautiful Muji came to us as a stray with four young kittens depending on her. We placed the little family into a foster home where Muji could raise her babies in a calm, safe environment, away from the uncertainty of life on the streets.
Muji did a wonderful job looking after her little family, giving her kittens everything they needed until they were ready to spread their wings and find forever homes of their own.
Now, it's Muji's turn.
This lovely young lady can be shy when meeting new people and finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings, so she won't necessarily show you her true personality straight away. Muji needs a little time, patience and gentle encouragement to realise that she's safe and that this new life really is hers to enjoy.
And she is absolutely worth the wait.
Give Muji the opportunity to settle in at her own pace and, before long, she'll be discovering all the important things that come with having a home of her very own — her favourite bed, her favourite chair, the best spot on the couch and, perhaps most importantly, her favourite lap.
Muji has spent her time caring for her babies. Now she's ready for someone to care for her. All this beautiful girl needs is a patient human willing to give her the time she needs to settle in, feel safe and finally enjoy being the one who is loved and looked after.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
