Meet Mozzarella!

Mozzarella is a precious 3 and a half year old chihuahua mix who came to us because her owner became too unwell to care for her anymore. She's got a lot of personality in a small package, and is a bit of a celebrity around the shelter, saying hi to everyone as she struts her stuff around.

While she's a big fan of humans, Mozarella has a fear of dogs, and would like to be the only dog in the household. She is the star of the show after all! She would benefit from gradual, positive introductions to unfamiliar dogs to help her overcome her anxiety around other pooches.

Mozzarella is suitable to go home with primary school aged children and above, as long as they are able to read her body language and give her a break when she's had enough of handling. Because the busy shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for her, Mozzarella will need a gentle home where she can take her time adjusting to new environments and building trust with new people .Once settled, she is a true lap dog who loves nothing more than to snuggle with her humans and be your tiny shadow everywhere you go.

She has grade 2 dental disease but has not needed any surgery She would benefit from routine vet checks, a healthy diet and lots of dental treats to prevent this from progressing. She also has luxating patellas which have not needed any surgical intervention.
