About Cujo
Meet Cujo 🐾
This is Cujo, a very handsome Domestic Long Hair who is looking for his forever family!
And please, do not let his age fool you - Cujo may be an older gentleman, but he certainly hasn't slowed down when it comes to making his opinions known! He is a super clingy, affectionate and VERY vocal boy who absolutely loves his people, his scratching poles and, above all else... FOOD.
Cujo is the kind of cat who likes to be involved in everything you do, including cooking dinner. In fact, he will happily sit in the kitchen supervising you while you cook and loudly informing you that, actually, he would like another meal. And another one. And possibly another one after that.
He is convinced he requires approximately seven meals a day, so his future family will need to be strong and resist his excellent sales pitch! 😂 Cujo will need someone who can stick to a healthy feeding routine and help him learn that just because he asks for another meal doesn't mean the kitchen is suddenly running an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Because he loves his humans so much, Cujo would really benefit from a home where someone is around more often to keep him company. He would make a wonderful couch companion and will happily follow you around the house, making sure you're never alone - and never allowed to forget that he may, in fact, be hungry.
He would also benefit from plenty of enrichment to keep his clever little mind busy. Scratching posts and poles are a big favourite, and giving him appropriate activities, play and attention will help keep him happy and entertained.
Cujo would prefer to be the only cat in the home. He would also be best suited to a family with older children, ideally 10+, who can understand cat body language and respect his boundaries. Cujo is still an older gentleman who knows what he likes and, importantly, when he needs a little space. He isn't looking for little hands to poke and prod him - he's looking for people who will appreciate him for the characterful boy he is.
His ideal home would include a sunny spot to stretch out during the day, a cosy soft bed to curl up in at night, plenty of human company, lots of love... and someone willing to stand their ground when he starts campaigning for Meal Number Eight. 😂
Cujo is a lovely boy with a BIG personality, and we're hoping to find someone who will adore all of it - the cuddles, the chatter, the shadowing, the demands, and of course, the very important food-related negotiations.
If you think Cujo could be your perfect companion, please reach out to our staff for more information about this special boy and his time in foster care. ❤️
