Adoption information
About Ricky
Ricky is a male Bengal cat available for adoption in Wyndham Vale (Melbourne, VIC).
Ricky is a fearless, fascinated by everything kind of cat, the type who investigates first and worries never.
He's completely at ease with the people he knows, settling in for cuddles and lap sits without a second thought.
New faces get a slower welcome, and once he decides you're worth his attention, that curiosity turns into real engagement.
A little about Ricky:
🐾 Loves chasing treats down the hallway
🐾 A genuine fan of car trips
🐾 Thrives on a predictable daily routine
🐾 Full of energy and playfulness
🐾 Turns into the ultimate snuggler once his energy is spent
Ricky's days run on rhythm: lots of play through the day builds toward a calm, settled evening.
Once his play needs are met, he shifts gears completely, becoming super chill and happy to curl up close.
A favourite ritual is chasing treats down the hall, pure focus and full speed every time.
With his familiar people, Ricky is affectionate and easy, happy with lap sits and cuddles on cold days.
He takes new people at his own pace, mostly observing at first before he comes over to say hello on his own terms.
He currently lives without other animals and enjoys having his people's attention, and their playtime, all to himself.
Ricky would suit an experienced guardian who enjoys an active, engaged cat and understands the value of routine.
He'd flourish with young or elderly guardians alike, in a calm household with outdoor access to explore.
A home ready to invest daily play time will get the best of Ricky's fun, adventurous side.
Ricky is desexed and in good health. Like many Bengal type cats, he does best with consistent daily stimulation.
He came from life on the street before this, so routine matters even more to him now, something guardians can easily build together with him from day one.
A little consistency goes a long way with Ricky, and the payoff is a cat who's completely at home once his rhythm is in place.
Picture a hallway sprint chasing his favourite treat, followed by an evening where Ricky's fully unwound and pressed up against you on the couch.
A car trip with Ricky riding along, taking in the world with total fearlessness, is exactly his kind of day.
Ricky is ready for a home with energy to match his own, the kind of place where his curiosity and his routine can both thrive side by side.

Medical notes
Ricky is in good general health, a confident, food-motivated Bengal who settles beautifully once he's found his routine.
He can find new environments, like the vet clinic, challenging in the moment. Using pre-visit medication to help reduce Ricky's anxiety and a low-stress, cooperative care approach to ensure he feels as comfortable as possible makes vet visits much more enjoyable for everyone. Currently, Ricky's vet has prescribed Gabapentin for vet visits, a low-cost medication that can be used when needed to help with stressful situations
His complete patient history is on file and ready to share with his new guardian's veterinary team.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
