Danny

Danny is a confident, clever and independent little guy who has really come into his own while in foster care. He’s a social pup who loves being involved in whatever is going on and gets very excited to meet new people. He’s also quite independent, so while he enjoys attention and affection on his terms, he’s also happy doing his own thing.

Danny currently lives with two female dogs and has also spent plenty of time socialising with different dogs through his foster home. He loves to play and has handled a busy, social environment really well.

Danny is a clever little cookie and really enjoys his training. He’s learning sit, stay, spin, on your bed and polite greetings, and responds really well to consistency and clear boundaries. He will thrive with a family who can commit to continuing his training, give him plenty to do, and appreciate his confident, cheeky little personality. As he grows, Danny will need daily walks outside of his home to keep his brain and body happy and ensure he stays well socialised and gets used to new places, people, sights and sounds. We anticipate he will grow into a medium-large dog when full grown.

Adoption fee includes vet check, flea and worm treatment, puppy vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership) and sterilisation at 6 months at a STAR approved vet clinic.

Note that if renting, we may request proof of permission to keep a dog at your property. Please ensure that all members of your household are on board with adopting a pup before filling in an enquiry form, and consider your lifestyle, work hours, activity level and the time you have to commit, before applying. Danny will thrive in a home with someone around most of the time while he/she settles in and preferably for the first few months in his new life. We will be seeking a new home willing to commit to his continued training.

Our adoption process includes a meet-and-greet with the chosen applicant (and any dog already in the household or who regularly stays at the home, along with their current vaccination card); a property check and a 2 week trial period to ensure the pup is the right fit for the home.

The adoption fee must be deposited electronically into our Second Tale Animal Rescue bank account in full before an adoption trial starts. STAR will arrange transfer of ownership on the pup's microchip once the trial period is completed.

To arrange sterilisation at 6 months old, a STAR approved vet clinic must be used. Adopters will be advised of the closest approved vet to their home.
