Smart, gentle, affectionate and full of personality, Nuri is a beautiful young girl with so much love to give. Mum is a cattle dog so looking for a working breed experienced home.

Nuri has been living in a family home and has grown into a loving, energetic and very people-oriented young dog.

She absolutely adores affection, and her favourite place is sprawled across your legs with her belly and paws in the air while you rub her belly, massage her paws and stroke her ears. She has the most beautiful smile and incredibly soulful eyes.

Nuri is a clever girl who enjoys learning. She has been attending puppy school and already has a reliable sit and good foundations with her recall. She has started leash training and is happy and willing to engage with her handler. She is also well on her way with toilet training, although the occasional accident can still happen.

She settles beautifully in her crate overnight. During the day she can sometimes find it harder to switch off, but settles well in her crate with a blackout cover and something appropriate to chew or a stuffed Kong. She has also spent short periods home alone while crated and has managed this well.

Nuri loves other dogs and is friendly with the people she meets. She enjoys playing, particularly a good game of fetch, and would benefit from continuing to have positive interactions with stable, social dogs.

She currently lives with children aged 6–15 years. Like many energetic young dogs, she can occasionally become overexcited and play a little roughly or use her mouth during play, so she still needs calm, consistent reminders about appropriate behaviour. She has shown no signs of aggression or resource guarding.

Nuri has also lived alongside rabbits. Following an appropriate introduction period, she has been able to happily share the garden environment with them, although the rabbits are securely contained rather than free roaming. She has not been tested with cats but would think she would

Food is another joy in Nuri's life! She isn't a fussy eater and has some slightly unusual favourites — blueberries are a treasured treat, she could happily munch cucumber all day, and even kale stalks make an excellent chew.
And then there's water. Nuri absolutely loves water games and will even "dive" into her paddling pool to retrieve frozen blueberries.

Nuri is still a young dog with energy, enthusiasm and plenty more to learn. She will thrive with a family willing to continue her training, give her appropriate physical and mental outlets, and include her as part of everyday family life.

In return, Nuri offers an enormous amount of affection, fun and companionship. Underneath all that puppy energy is an incredibly loving girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.

Nuri is looking for a committed home where she can settle in, continue learning and, most importantly, stay for good.

Please note: This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
