About Schmidt (Assisted Rehome)
💙 Meet Schmidt 💙
If you’re looking for a little companion who believes the best place in the world is right beside his person — or preferably on their lap — Schmidt may be just what you’re looking for.
Schmidt is an almost 6-year-old black Miniature Cavoodle, and he is an incredibly affectionate, friendly and people-loving boy. He adores attention, cuddles and being close to his humans, and he has very little understanding of the concept of personal space! 😂
While Schmidt is a champion cuddler, he also has a fun and playful side. He loves his toys, enjoys a game of fetch and is always happy to head out to the park. He doesn't need huge amounts of exercise and is generally quite content with a shorter daily walk, although he's more than capable of enjoying a good run and play when the opportunity comes along.
Schmidt currently shares his home with two cats and is gentle with them. He could potentially live with a calm, dog-savvy cat, although we feel his perfect home may be one where he is the only pet and gets to enjoy all that love and attention for himself.
A quieter, predictable home will suit Schmidt best. He can feel anxious around very young children, so we're looking for an adult household or a family with older, respectful children who will understand when he needs a little space.
Schmidt also finds travelling in the car quite stressful, so he's not looking to become anyone's regular road-trip buddy! 🚗 A home where unnecessary car travel can be kept to a minimum would be ideal.
More than anything, Schmidt is looking for people who want a loving little dog to truly be part of their everyday life. Give him a comfortable lap, plenty of affection, a few toys and people of his own, and Schmidt will happily return that love in abundance. 🐾💙

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
