Meet Olive 🐾

Personality
Olive is a typical young Kelpie with energy to burn and a big heart to match. She is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who is super friendly with people and absolutely loves the company of other dogs. Olive plays beautifully with her canine friends and has a very gentle and submissive nature. She is the kind of girl who would love nothing more than to be part of the family, joining in on adventures before coming home for a well-earned nap. While she has plenty of energy, Olive also loves her downtime and is very happy to curl up and snooze after a busy day.

Training
Olive is doing amazingly well with her toilet training and already knows her basic manners. She is a clever girl who is eager to learn and would benefit from ongoing training, particularly around managing her excitement. She walks reasonably well on lead but can get very excited when she sees people or other dogs. With some patience and positive reinforcement, this is something she is already making great progress with. She also learned to sit at every corner while walking, which is a fantastic start!

Olive isn't particularly food-motivated, so treats aren't always her thing. She responds much better to praise, encouragement and positive reinforcement. With continued consistency and guidance, she has all the makings of a wonderful, well-mannered adult dog.

Perfect Home
Olive is looking for an active home where she can burn off her Kelpie energy and be included in plenty of adventures. She would ideally have a large, secure area where she can run, play and explore. We think she would be particularly happy living with another young, energetic and dog-friendly companion, as she absolutely loves having a canine friend around and plays so nicely with other dogs. Dog-savvy children would be best suited to her.

With a little more training, patience and guidance, Olive is going to be a fantastic dog. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate and eager to please, and she has so much love and fun to give. ❤️
