Shelby

Shelby is a sweet, affectionate girl who is settling in beautifully now that she has received her treatment. She is a very friendly girl who loves a good cuddle and, once she gets to know you, is wonderfully affectionate and eager to build a bond with her people.

Shelby is an energetic and excitable girl who loves being involved and enjoying life. When she gets excited, she can sometimes jump up, but she responds well to redirection with food or kibble and is continuing to learn her manners.

She already knows some basic commands, including sit, and is enjoying working on her skills and learning new things. Her enthusiasm for food makes positive-reinforcement training a great way to keep her engaged and help her continue to flourish.

Shelby can experience a little separation anxiety when staying in kennels, but she settles well with food enrichment, Kongs and other activities to keep her occupied. She is still waiting for her dog assessment, so her compatibility with other dogs is currently unknown.

Shelby's ideal home
Shelby would love a home where her humans can give her plenty of affection, mental stimulation and positive training. An active family or individual who enjoys getting out and about and continuing her training could be a wonderful match.

She is looking for someone who will give her time to settle in, help her build confidence and continue showing her how rewarding good behaviour can be.

With her affectionate nature, playful energy and willingness to learn, Shelby has so much potential to become a wonderful companion.
