About Rudy
Meet Rudy!
If you're looking for a best mate with a wagging tail and a heart full of love, Rudy might just be your perfect match!
This handsome black Labrador is a fun-loving boy who brings plenty of classic Lab enthusiasm to every day. Whether it's heading out for an adventure, playing in the backyard, or simply spending time with his people, Rudy is always ready to join in on the fun.
Rudy comes preloaded with a few handy features, including a reliable "sit" and some lovely lead manners. While he still has all the energy and excitement you'd expect from a Labrador, he's learned that keeping all four paws on the ground is the best way to make friends. That's right, Rudy knows better than to jump up and is happy to politely greet new people.
Like any true Labrador, Rudy is highly food-motivated and will happily work for a tasty treat. This makes him not only entertaining but also a great candidate for continued training. With a pocket full of snacks and a little consistency, there's no telling what this clever boy could learn next.
Rudy is looking for an active family that can keep up with his playful nature and continue helping him be the best dog he can be. In return, he'll provide endless loyalty, laughter, and plenty of Labrador love.
Come and meet Rudy today. He can't wait to sit for a treat and win you over!
Rudy will not be able to leave the shelter until 29/8/26

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
