About Pingu
Meet Pingu! Pingu is a shy but curious cat who enjoys exploring at his own pace. He benefits from a calm environment with safe spaces where he can retreat, settle in and feel secure. Environmental enrichment should be provided for him, such as scratching posts, hiding areas, toys and opportunities to climb and explore. This will help keep Pingu comfortable and mentally stimulated. Pingu is affectionate once he feels safe and enjoys gentle, consented touch. He also loves a rub against his cheeks and chin. His body language should always be respected, allowing him to choose when he wants interaction and when he needs space. With patience, reassurance and positive experiences, Pingu can build confidence and form trusting relationships with his adopters.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
