About Fizzewig
Fizziweg — or Fizzi to his friends — is a big, beautiful, gentle soul with an enormous heart. Fizz is a scruffy 36 kilo Wolfhound x whose typical Wolfy loving temperament shines through to his humans through his soulful eyes and his loving heart.
Like many Wolfhounds, he loves to sprawl, be fussed over, and relax with his family. His ideal life is simple: good food, a comfortable couch, calm surroundings, and his people nearby.
Fizzi is affectionate, gentle, and loving. He enjoys nudging into people for affection and being included in everyday family life.
He is very much a Velcro dog, but he does not need constant entertainment. Knowing his people are close helps him feel secure, and once reassured, he is usually happy to settle himself nearby.

He enjoys cuddles, following his people, relaxing on the couch, gentle walks, bones, high-value treats, his large Kong feeder, and pouncing or playing alongside his humans.
Fizzi has played well with both small and large dogs and has shown himself to be a true gentleman. He enjoys running and playing but can become enthusiastic with his love of dog play and he sometime sforgets his name when its time to leave the park lol.
Fizzi would love a female companion of similar size and energy. On a lead, Fizzi can get a little excited seeing other dogs, but with practice, he is learning to disengage.
Fizzi is a good student, and food is definitely the way to his heart! He sits beautifully, is learning to “wait,” and his ecall is improvin as he is getting to know his name.
He is friendly, affectionate, and happiest when his people are nearby. Fizzi is still a young boy discovering the world, so he will need a patient family who understands that confidence takes time and is keen to continue developing this boy with ongoing training.
Initially, Fizzi was a little cautious being inside, but he has adapted well to indoor living. He generally settles quickly and enjoys being near his people, preferably on a couch or chair where he can stretch out. He may jump on the bed but responds to a calm, gentle “no.” His family should provide suitably large resting spaces and help him learn which furniture is available.
He uses the dog door reliably and toilets outside without fuss. Food should not be left on kitchen benches, as Fizzi is very interested in it. He currently eats soft and dry food across three meals a day, and his family should be prepared for the appetite and food costs of a large Wolfhound.
Fizzi can be startled by sudden or unexpected noises, including loud television sounds. He may seek a quiet place or reassurance from his people.
Fizzi would enjoy a home where people are home more often than not. He currently has inside access when his family is not home.
Fizzi is toilet trained and has an easy-to-care-for scruffy coat.
Fizzi travels well in the car, although he can be a initially little restless. He enjoys putting his head out the window. He requires a harness or boot area given his size.
Fizzi is happiest with gentle, age-appropriate exercise. A 30–45 minute gentle stroll has been enough to keep him content. He also loves a good run with other dogs.
Short walks, calm sniffing, low-impact enrichment, food-based activities, and carefully managed play with suitable dogs will suit him best.
