About Urban
Urban, is an intelligent and energetic Kelpie with a heart full of love and a playful spirit.
This sweetheart thrives on attention from both humans and other animals, making him an exceptional companion. With his mature and charming personality, Urban brings joy to every moment, ensuring there's never a dull day with him around.
Urban is already making great strides in his daily training, having mastered both crate and toilet training with ease. As is typical of his breed, he is highly intelligent and eager to learn, flourishing with engaging mental stimulation and having a purpose.
His love for life is beautifully complemented by his well-socialized nature. He's familiar with children aged 7 and above, other dogs, cats, and even chickens, which speaks to his adaptability and social grace.
His adoptive family will need to be patient and committed, understanding the unique needs of an active and smart breed like the Kelpie. Urban's mum and dad were both working dogs, and he inherits their drive and determination. Regular exercise, continued training, and mental enrichment will ensure he thrives in a loving household.

Urban will be adopted with a pre-arranged date for desexing at our nominated vet as part of his adoption fee.

Adoption details

PLEASE DO NOT CALL US!**
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.

We only consider applicants that have completed our adoption application form. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1) Email and ask for an adoption application to be sent on farmdogzrescueinc@gmail.com
2) Check your SPAM FOLDER
3) Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form.
4) This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
5) If you are successfully shortlisted, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a time for you to meet the dog in question.
6) A home visit will need to be conducted.
7) Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2-4 week trial period immediately.
8) The adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
9) During the first week 2 week trial period, we encourage you to follow all our instructions to ensure the dog settles into your family structure.
10) If during the trail period you should need any assistance or you decide that this dog is not for you, you MUST contact our state adoptions coordinator ASAP. (The more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available.)
Please note if the decision is made for you to return the dog for you to receive your payment you will, within 10 business days of the return of the dog.
