Adoption information
About Luffy
Luffy is a friendly and affectionate boy who loves attention and happily leans in for pats. He enjoys being brushed and spending quality time with his people. He is food motivated, takes treats gently and loves to play. His favourite activities include chasing balls, playing fetch and enjoying soft and fluffy toys. Luffy is a clever and highly trainable boy who responds well to cues including sit, shake, drop and his name. He generally walks well on lead and can walk with a loose lead at times. When meeting unfamiliar dogs, Luffy can become tense and uncomfortable and may display fearful behaviours. He will benefit from careful management, patient handling and slow, controlled introductions.
Luffy has displayed fearful responses towards a toddler. While he was comfortable around the child before they became mobile, his behaviour changed once the child began crawling, and he became quite fearful. For this reason, Luffy will be best suited to a home without toddlers or young children.
With his affectionate nature, playful personality and eagerness to learn, Luffy has so much to offer the right family. He will thrive with patient and understanding owners who can provide ongoing training, enrichment, structure and guidance, helping him build confidence and feel secure in his new home.
