About Yeti
Hello there! I’m Yeti, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR YETI

I was surrendered to the shelter along with my 3 brothers when we were the last of an unplanned litter.
My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• I'm still a puppy, which means I will chew, nip, have accidents, bark, and sometimes be a little destructive. With patience, consistency, and training, I'll learn - but I need a family fully committed to putting in the time and effort to help me succeed.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• I'd love a friendly dog playmate - or, if I'm your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• I was unsure around cats at the shelter and may become more inquisitive as my confidence grows. If I join a home with a cat, they'll need to be dog-savvy and introductions must be gradual and well managed.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I'm a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I'm very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs - total social butterfly!
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
Training/Support Needs:
• I haven't had any formal training yet, so I'll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food and toys, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• I'm not housetrained yet, as I haven't previously been allowed inside, so I'll need guidance and consistency to learn.
• I've only recently started learning to walk on lead at the shelter. I'm improving every day, but I can still be a little slow at times. With patience and regular walks, I'll soon gain confidence and enjoy my daily strolls even more.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Yeti if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
PLEASE NOTE: Shelter staff make the final decision based on determining if the applicant can meet the animals needs (lifestyle, home environment, experience) Our goal is to ensure a permanent home that sets both the animal and new family up for success.
