Meet Niamh (pronounced Neve)!

Niamh is the sweetest, most affectionate, gentle-natured girl. She's a little shy with new people at first, but give her a minute or two and she'll be leaning in for pats. Unfamiliar noises can startle her, though this is expected to improve once she's settled.

Niamh would thrive in a home where she can stay close to her people for most of the day, with owners who love giving lots of pats and cuddles. She asks for affection often, but settles if asked firmly to stop.

Niamh gets along beautifully with all dogs and is completely non-confrontational, making her a wonderful second dog or a great match for anyone who enjoys social doggy meet-ups. On the lead, she pulls a little toward interesting smells, but with some training would likely walk loose-leash most of the time. Niamh has not yet been let off the lead in public places — though she recently behaved beautifully at an off-leash park in Perth meeting other dogs while on lead. Be warned though: her stunning looks and size mean she's a real head-turner, so be ready for constant compliments and questions wherever you go! Two shortish walks a day keep her happy, and indoors she has lovely manners; she never helps herself to food.

Niamh does have a skin irritation, so her new family will need to be prepared for ongoing vet treatment and provide her with good quality, vet-recommended diet.

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation. Please note that Niamh has a skin irritation which will need ongoing treatment and support. Her new owners must be willing to provide this to keep her skin comfortable moving forward. Her carer can provide more information.

ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos/video of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.

All adoption fees must be deposited into the Second Tale Animal Rescue (STAR) bank account in full before adoption trial starts, and please note, we cannot accept cash. The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.

After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of the microchip into the new owner's name, and email copies of the dog's vet records.
